  • Pens, pens, pens.... :)

I have found a new blog addiction www.penaddict.com

Go check it out its soooo cool :)

It is the most awesome site to find out about all kinds of pens. I am a pen elitist so I only use pens that I know are good quality. This site reviews all sorts of pens and shows which are the best. This shall be what I use to decide what kind of pens I will buy.

Actually I found out about it when trying to find the Pilot Hi-Tec C Coleto Pen which I saw someone in my lecture using. I am so in love with this pen. I really really really want it. Unfortunately you can't get it here so I have to buy it online. I am considering buying it from ebay....we will see. I really heart the pen.

For starters it's customisable so you can choose which colours you want - up to 3 different ones - and the colours are so pretty. The pens are all gel pens which are awesome. All the retractable pens I find are ballpoint. This looks like the most awesome notetaking pen ever!! Sigh. I will definitely get one. Just a matter of time.

See I should be studying for my midsem but instead I am looking at pens. This is truly terrible.

  • Love is not a fight...

    Love is not a fight

    Warren Barfield

    Love is not a place
to come and go as we please
It's a house we enter in
    then commit to never leave

So lock the door behind you
    Throw away the key
    Work it out together
Let it bring us to our knees

    Love is a shelter
    in a raging storm
    Love is peace
in the middle of a war
    And if we try to leave;
May God send angels to guard the door
No, Love is not a fight
but its something worth fighting for

To some love is a word
    that they can fall into.
    But when they're falling out
keeping that word is hard to do

    Love is a shelter
    in a raging storm
    Love is peace
in the middle of a war
    And if we try to leave;
May God send angels to guard the door
No, Love is not a fight
but its something worth fighting for

Love will come to save us
    If we'll only call
He will ask nothing from us
but demand we give our all

    Love is a shelter
    in a raging storm
    Love is peace
in the middle of a war
    And if we try to leave;
May God send angels to guard the door
No, Love is not a fight
but its something worth fighting for.

Cause I Will Fight For You
    Would You Fight For Me
    It's Worth Fighting For.

I really like this song :) From the movie Fireproof.

  • Back....^^"

Yes after two months of non-blogging finally decided it's time to blog >_< I actually missed one whole month of not a single entry. Gosh.

Anyways heaps have happened since I last blogged.

    - I finished exams...I got the results -_- the face says it all.

    - Celebrated my 20th birthday with my high school friends with karaoke and sleepover then proceeded to go to "The Maze" all the way in Bullsbrook on very very little sleep. Had an awesome time all out :)

    - Started working full time for vacwork at John Holland in the city. Realized how fast the day passes when you go to work. Come home and there is like almost no day left to do stuff you like :(. Although working in itself is not too bad...get to earn some cash after all while fulfilling course requirements :)

    - Had sleepover with the church gals knowing full well we needed to wake up to go to church for practice for mum's graduation the next day. Learnt some interesting facts...confirmed others and in general had a good time to just catch up on each others lives and going ons. Love sleepovers :D

    - Had sleepover with school friends just before Christmas and watched the whole first season of Doctor Who, most awesome series ever. Needless to say no sleep that day either :P

    - Christmas dinner at Jono and Yii Kuok's which was uber yummy. Massive massive massive amounts of food. Then proceeded to go to the airport that night.

    - Spent one week of holidays in Kuching just hanging out with the rellies. Realized how much I missed Kuching food after a hiatus of two years away. Managed to put on at least 3kg (estimation I refused to weigh myself). While there invited out for dinner and lunch everyday...see how I put on those kilos. Ate at 'The Heritage' 3 times as is the new "in" restaurant in Kuching.

    - Spent the next week in Taiwan with Jess and family. Managed to lose some of that weight by walking down Yangminshan in the rain. Had bubble tea every day for only $1 :D. Ate the best guo tie ever! Went to Jay Chou's restaurant. Bought lots of Jay Chou and Wang Li Hong CDs. In awe of the hugeness of Wu Fen Bu. Loved Xi Men Ding. Saw many places where Taiwan series are filmed. Love Taiwan. Loved going on hols with Jess :)

    - Spent some time in KL. Don't like it there. It's too big and polluted :S

    - Came back to Australia and straight back to work.

    - Watched Twilight. Actually enjoyed it. Don't read the book it's terrible.

    - Watched Curious Case of Benjamin Button quite good if not a bit long and draggy at times. Brad Pitt is actually good looking for once when I never considered him so before.

    - Lots of family gatherings. Peter and Wennie's houseblessing with lots and lots and lots of food. Chinese New Year Eve dinner at Uncle John's with lots and lots and lots of food. Chinese New Year Day lunch at 5th Aunts with lots and lots and lots of food. Notice the common factor here...I say it's a Foochow thing to provide over estimates of food.

    - Welcoming night at my place with lots and lots and lots of people and food. Met some new people. Enjoyed getting to know some. Got bitten alive by mozzies :(

    - Chinese New Year/Australia Day. Went bai nian at Jess's which has the most new year goodies ever. Went for aforementioned lunch. Lots of people came to bai nian at our house. Slept a lot...public holiday okay. Ate a lot. Went to watch fireworks that night outside the Raffles Hotel on Canning Bridge. Quite nice actually will no longer ever watch them the same after visiting Disneyworld.

    - Caught up with friends yesterday night for dinner at the Raffles Bar with half price pizzas. Quite yummy actually. So nice to catch up with them :)

Basically that's the holidays so far. It hasn't been to bad. I've actually quite enjoyed it. Especially going to Kuching and Taiwan the most. Still one more month of holiday and one more month of working :S. Oh wellz.

Am loving life. Good friends. Good food. Good times.

  • 3 left -.-

3 more exams to go. So tired don't feel like doing any studying at all.

On Monday I had Risk Engineering and you know what? The lecturer Arcady who is the laziest and dodgiest lecturer ever used 2 questions exactly the same as his previous exam. But stupid me didn't study for Risk Engineering (seeing as I had passed already without exam) so couldn't do the questions and that really sucked cos if I had studied even a little I would have been fine .

Verdict: Risk Engineering = EPIC fail

Had Materials today and I was like fully worried about it cos it's worth like 85% of the year mark (well actually 60% but if you din do well on the midsem then you don't have to count it and all of it goes for final exam....fair to say I did dodgy on the midsem). Also was thinking exams were going to be really bad this semester cos I did so bad for Risk. Anyways so was stressing about it heaps, just kept rereading my notes over and over again. So went to the exam and it was quite okay. I could answer almost all the questions and what I couldn't I made up, reasonable answers okay not just random stuff. And the only thing I din study, material selection, din come up at all . THANK GOD!

So now I got Chinese on Thursday and I'm not really stressed at all but should really start studying for Concrete and Geomechanics cos need lots of help with those.

On a completely different note on Sunday during the sermon.

Dad: I'm sure when you bring your kids when they were young to McDonald's they were happy about it. I know I have two girls as well.

Mel: (sitting next to me) No I bet you, you were like "I want KFC."

    lol
